Transparency Series

Continuum has initiated a new performance series, the Transparency Series, centered around the innovative concepts of saxophonist, composer, author patrick brennan and his transparency kestra. The November 18 performance will feature celebrated poet Bob Holman. More will be scheduled soon.

brennan writes that “Transparencies are an organizational strategy that overlays rhythmelodic patterns that can be recombined in a decentralized way though improvisation and conduction. transparency kestra is a rotating community of musicians, a polyrhythmic drum ensemble (with or without drums) & an engine of multidirectional musical exploration that has convened monthly in NYC since 2014.

After a debut performance at Starr Bar in Bushwick, Brooklyn the next performances will take place at Intercomm (584 Woodward Ave.) in Ridgewood, Queens.
